Library services will be limited from March 2-7, 2018

Southwest Public Libraries is excited to announce that three new libraries are joining the Central Library Consortium, giving our patrons access to more materials than ever before. Delaware County District Library, Granville Public Library and Pataskala Public Library will be the newest members of our consortium, joining 14 other Central Ohio Libraries.

In addition, SPL is partnering with SearchOhio and OhioLink which will provide access to millions of unique titles from 42 public libraries and more than 100 colleges and universities across the state of Ohio.

It will take several days for the new libraries to upload all of their data to our system, and from March 2-7, both the Grove City and Westland Area Libraries will have limited services.

During this time:

  • Patrons will need their library card to check out items.
  • Patrons will be unable to place new holds, access their account online, pay fines or update their contact information.
  • Patrons will still be able to access our digital resources (Digital Downloads, Hoopla, the library’s many databases), use library computers, search the catalog and use the library’s Wi-Fi.
  • No items are due and no fines will be charged to patron accounts.
  • The library will be unable to check-in any materials and delivery of holds will be delayed until after we are back online.

Although we know this will be a disruption for many people, we are happy to be able to offer more titles for our patrons to enjoy. Thank you for your patience.
